The Shamrogues are the largest Traditional Irish music band in the state, and have been performing for thirty years. The band members come from all walks of life from Ireland and from Fairfield and New Haven counties, brought together by their common love for the authentic music which they enthusiastically recreate in the time honored traditional style. They are regular performers at the Fairfield County Irish Festival, the Danbury Irish Festival and the Connecticut Irish Festival. Several of the group members have also qualified to compete in the prestigious All-Ireland Championships.

The band’s name comes from the Irish word for shamrock (seamrog), which is pronounced as we spell it, a most fitting characterization!  Bring your chairs, beverages and snacks, alcohol is not permitted. Children are free and should be accompanied by parent.
