Howard Aibel Memorial Young Persons’ Concert

Performance Today describes classical guitarist Jordan Dodson as “one of the top young guitarists of his generation.” He has received a number of international and national awards including winning the 2013 Astral Artist competition. Jordan was one of 2 students selected to launch a guitar program from the Curtis Institute of Music, one of the most prestigious Conservatory in the world.
Ekaterina Skliar made her debute with the Russian Folk Instrument Orchestra of the Buryatia Republic when she was just 11. Ms. Skliar has concertized throughout the United States and Russia, giving solo recitals and performing with chamber ensembles, symphonies, and Russian folk instrument orchestras.
Prizewinner of a number of international and all-Russian competitions, she has also received awards for her domra and mandolin recordings. In 2018, she was one of three winners in the Kaleidoscope Instrumental and Vocal Competition, chosen from more than 2,000 international applicants. Ekaterina mentioned that another highlight of her career was becoming the 2019 Astral National Auditions, one of the first mandolinists to be selected by this highly competitive Competition.
